2014 Labour Community Awards

November 14th, 2014 at Aristos - builder and current awards went to Paula Carsen and Sandra Tunstall.

• Provided leadership in volunteer services within United Way as well as serving within their rank and file
• Contributed to the voluntary system of human services
• Displayed creativity in devising new and better ways of performing volunteer assignments or in meeting community needs
• Had tangible and demonstrative impact in some form of service to their fellow citizens
• Been inspirational in their activities and qualities of performance have stimulated others to achieve greater service.
• Sustained their service over a period of years

Bill Zilio Labour “Spirit” Award — nominations being sought for those locals who have:

• Demonstrated the following forms of compassion for a better community for one and for all.
• Taken opportunity to adventure above and beyond the normal call of duty in the direction of community support
• Whether your local has collectively assisted a family in their time of need or have assisted a local community organization
• We all have special talents and skills and when we get that opportunity to help others, you help your community.
